Duplicating a Call

In this lesson, we explain how to duplicate a call from the list of calls in the "Standby", "Scheduled" or "Ongoing" status.

WHY DUPLICATE A CALL?


 

There are several reasons why you would want to use the call duplication function in TowSoft, such as:

 

  • Create identical calls to send several tow trucks & drivers on the same intervention.
  • Speed up the call taking process by duplicating the info from a call whose details are similar.
  • Replicate multiple “Scheduled” calls

 

 

HOW TO DUPLICATE A CALL?


 

To duplicate a Standby call, simply click on the blue “PLUS” button that appear when you hover your mouse over the hamburger menu icon in the Actions column in the Standby calls table. This button will be directly displayed in the Actions column of the Scheduled and Ongoing calls tables.

By clicking on this button, the call duplication window will pop open with the following options:

 

  • Date and time of the replicated call
  • Type of call
  • Invoice linking options
  • Status assigned to the duplicated call
  • Option to invert the origin and destination

You can therefore modify the information from your original call to what is required for the new, duplicated call. To confirm, click on the “DUPLICATE” button, you will then be redirected to your new replicated call sheet. Note that you can also apply other changes, on top of that, once the duplication process is completed.
